On February 13th 2012 the visitors had the second chance to visit the limestone quarry Mokra near Brno, Czech Republic.

In spite of freezing weather numerous group of student and researches came to visit a possible target of their projects. The excursion started with important information about the Quarry Life Award and continued with interesting information from the quarry history.

The excursion focused on sites which can play a key role in promoting biodiversity of the quarry – eastern part of the quarry suitable for restoration activities, a conduit regulator, a part with well-preserved native vegetation, a view point on the quarry and also actively mined part of the quarry. The biodiversity theme was actively discussed during the whole excursion.
