On the day, we arrived at Hyde pit at 10:00, from there we went straight to the plots. At each plot we located the tiny tag and dug it up. From there, we utilised an infiltrometer to measure the infiltration rate of the sands at each plot.
The time spent on the site wasn't the funnest, due to the heat. To put it plainly, it felt like being roasted in an oven whilst we were sat measuring the infiltration. So it was good news for us when we were finished and could disappear into the cooler shade.
